Hydratite

Hydratite is an aluminium rivet that has a large blind-sides bearing area making it an ideal rivet for use in thin sheet or low strength materials. The structural Hydratite rivet contains a visible mechanical lock to give extra strength to the joint.

Hydratite breakstem fastener is a structural aluminium blind rivet designed for thin sheet materials and low-strength assemblies, offering high strength, vibration resistance, and reliable fastening performance.

Hydratite is also suitable for applications requiring sealing performance. With optional under-head washers, it can function effectively as a sealed rivet, leakproof rivet, and waterproof blind rivet, protecting against moisture and environmental conditions.

Its split tail formation distributes load evenly across the rear sheet, preventing damage and improving joint strength. The visible mechanical lock ensures quick inspection and guarantees proper installation. Hydratite fasteners are widely used across automotive, sheet metal fabrication, appliances, and industrial assemblies, where strong, reliable fastening is essential.

Hydratite breakstem fasteners are designed to join:

  • Metal to Metal
  • Metal to Plastic
  • Plastic to Plastic

The rivet is ideal for thin sheets and low-strength materials, making it suitable for applications that require both structural strength and sealed rivet performance.

Hydratite sealed rivets are widely used in:

  • Automotive components and interior assemblies
  • Commercial vehicle panels and transport bodies
  • Sheet metal fabrication and enclosures
  • Domestic appliances and HVAC systems
  • Plastic assemblies and lightweight structures

In many of these applications, Hydratite performs effectively as a sealed rivet or leakproof rivet when sealing is required along with structural strength.

Key design advantages include:

  • Split tail expansion for a large bearing surface
  • Strong mechanical locking for secure joints
  • High resistance to pull-out loads
  • Reliable vibration-resistant performance
  • Optional sealing capability for sealed and leakproof rivet applications

It is widely used in industries requiring durable, high-strength fastening with optional waterproof sealing capability.
